How we build this site

Our Web Site

We hope you have found what you were looking for. If not, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Home page News and Events information are changed regularly to call attention to new spotlights.
This site is best viewed with the latest version of the common browsers. It has been tested on Mozilla/Firefox 2, InternetExplorer 7 and Safari.

Navigation

We provide a consistent navigation menu tabs on every page, to help ease navigation. Each of the Tabs is by itself clickable. All but Home are menu tabs.

Menu Tabs

Navigation portlet

  • Home: the home page, brings you back there
  • About us: informations about the laboratory, and the people
  • Research: The Research group page.
  • Tools: Access to all the tools we are developing, divided in areas of application.
  • S3D: the web pages of the service and development group - the group who builds this web site.
On some pages, on the left side, you see the navigation portlet. In fact you see it on this page. It shows the same elements as the Menu tabs.
Each tab is here represented as a folder. Clicking on the folder will take you there, and list in the navigation portlet the elements of this folder. You can thus navigate easily.
This navigation portlet does not appear in all pages in purpose, not to render some pages less easy to view, because there is to much information.
For example, the analysis pages will not show the navigation portlet. Instead they will show the Help portlet, the Comments Portlet and the Jobs Portlet. These are more useful in those pages.

Under the Tabs, on the left side, you can see a "navigation sentence" which shows you where you are in the site. You can click on the different links to move back to another page.

Links

All internal links open on the same browser page, but for some of the Help pages which will open in a new window. All external links open in a new browser window.
